Street Karate is an action game for kids who find karate fights entertaining. Once you enter the game, you have to fight numerous villainous characters who constantly attack you. Hence, you need to move quickly, and make use of distributive attention, because attackers surge in large numbers and surround you. Therefore, you must be well trained and make use of your fighting skills.
The game comes with an intuitive interface. Nevertheless, all commands are on the keyboard, and you cannot use the mouse to enter the game or control your character. The 2D graphics are not too captivating, whereas one should anticipate that kids would look for more inspiring animation, with 3D images that would really draw them into the game.
Unfortunately, the karate movements you can make are significantly limited. All you can do is jump, use your fists, go forward and turn back. There are no secret moves, and no spectacular jumps. The game does not, for instance, engage you to concentrate on finding the weak points of your attacker.
Besides being so minimalist, Street Karate displays the use of violence. Aggression is a very delicate issue even for adults, for this reason special attention should be paid if you consider this game for your children. The game will not be educational, neither will it be too inspiring in terms of visuals and real action challenges.
